The Nike Movement for Sport PlayKit is a first-of-its-kind game-based assessment tool for individuals coaching physical activity to 2.5 million children globally.
Nike wanted to digitize their physical activity assessment tool used by coaches worldwide. The goal was to build a fun, engaging, game-based platform that allows instructors to assess and track motor skill development in children, providing them with custom exercises and games to play.
We needed to build a highly responsive interface that worked seamlessly on older iPads and Android tablets used by schools. The app also needed to support multiple languages (12+ languages) and localized video demonstrations.
Our team engineered a lightweight, hardware-accelerated React Native application optimized for performance on low-end devices. We localized all media content using an AWS CloudFront CDN delivery system, enabling high-speed video playback globally.
